Safety Technician

Conduct Safety Inspections and audit in company HQ and other administrative buildings in plant and non-plant areas 2 Knowledge Skills and Experience: • High school Certificate • Minimum 3 years of experience in the Occupational Health and safety field in oil and gas or relevant industry. • NEBOSH certificate or equivalent. • Good computer skills and good understanding of Microsoft Office tools • Good understanding regarding the work and correct usage of different types of safety equipment including working at height equipment. • Good communication (oral) skills in English • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as team member. • Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures 3 Key Result Areas: • Office Safety Inspections and Audits • PTW audits of activities undertaken in Head quarter buildings located in DOHA and Ras Laffan and other associated admin buildings • Safety Awareness and safety campaigns coordination • Job Safety Analysis participation and facilitation • Incident investigations support • Coordination of Safety observation programs • Facility management team safety support • Facilitation of management safety walk • Management of office supplies and stationery • Facilitation of gate passes for personnel, materials and vehicles • HSEQ Administrative Support • HSE Data Management and Record Keeping • Coordinate with floor wardens and ERS teams COMPETENCY All personnel selected shall meet the criteria below • Fluent in English - both spoken and written. • Computer literacy and skilled use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) • Personnel must successfully complete applicable mandatory COMPANY training for the role and pass assessment where applicable Skill and Competence by Position & Normal Work Schedule
